Manufacturing Overview
The automatic generation of the bill of material and the machine steps in
TeoWin has been developed and enhanced after extensive studies on the different
ways customers manufacture.
This research has enabled us to develop a flexible environment which enables our
customers to mirror their existing construction methods and material
definitions.
Materials are typically managed at three levels; raw materials, semi-finished
items and finished products. Through this process characteristics change
to accommodate the physical changes that occur. For example white board is
a raw material that is converted in to semi finished items like cabinet ends.
These components eventually are represented by finished product like a standard
floor cabinet with one door. Colour and finishes are applied to raw
materials to replicate the availability chart of your supplier.
Within the Furniture Wizard each business has the ability to create their own
cabinet range complete with your choice of machine programs. Cabinets can
be assigned variables or absolute values depending on your preference.
Users can nominate specific sizes that the cabinet is available in and choose to
either allow modifications beyond these sizes or impose the size restriction.
Since the Furniture Wizard is a 3D environment users are able to review
changes while they are editing or creating new items. The manufacturing
version of the Furniture Wizard extend through to the creation of CNC programs.
You can select to view the explosion of parts enabling you to easily view the
current size of each component, explode the view to see the various components
relative to others and/or add the machining programs currently assigned to the
various pieces for reviewing prior to production - nothing is left to chance.
Adding and modifying cabinet and components is easy and when introduced they
cabinets will automatically assume the construction profile that you have
created and nominated prior to the cabinet development. You can develop as
many construction profiles as your business needs.
Handles can be setup to conform to specific rules including the location,
size and orientation. These specification can be further tailored to a
specific door style avoiding any chance of allocating a handle to the wrong door
type or in the wrong position for particular door design.
When the manufacturing project is complete, you can choose to automatically
generate the various purchase orders for your suppliers.
TeoWin's own optimisation program can be setup to link directly to the
controller on your existing beam saw eliminating the need to perform
export/import routines that add time and increase risk. Point to Point
and Flatbed integration varies with machines but for those site utilising Biesse Works or
Homag's Woodwop TeoWin will export files specific to the required format of
these machines. This ensures that there is no ambiguity which can occur if
you rely on DXF files.
Details drawing complete with dimensions can be printed out for each machine
program and used to record the expected outcomes.
Benchtop DXF output, complete with the appropriate cut, can be automatically
generated and users can choose to either include the positioning of items like
cook tops and sinks or exclude them from the machining process.
TeoWin provides business with a comprehensive reporting environment which
includes cutting lists, picking lists, edging reports, special part notification
etc.
